As a Junior Frontend Game Developer, you excel in creating engaging and responsive user interfaces for web-based games and gaming platforms. You demonstrate proficiency in modern frontend technologies including React.js, TypeScript, and state management solutions, contributing to seamless player experiences. Your ability to translate design concepts into interactive interfaces while maintaining performance optimization ensures our games deliver polished, responsive gameplay across multiple devices and platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop user interfaces for web-based games and gaming platforms using React.js with TypeScript (TSX).
  • Create responsive and adaptive layouts using Tailwind CSS to ensure optimal user experience across devices.
  • Manage application state using Redux for complex game state management and data flow.
  • Implement form validation, dynamic components, and interactive UI elements for game menus and HUD systems.
  • Connect frontend game interfaces to backend services and APIs for real-time gameplay features.
  • Optimize frontend performance to ensure smooth gameplay and minimal latency.
  • Collaborate with game designers and backend developers to implement gameplay features and mechanics.
  • Integrate game assets, animations, and visual effects into the frontend interface.
  • Implement responsive UI/UX patterns specifically for gaming applications.
  • Debug and resolve frontend issues across different browsers and devices.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving frontend codebase quality.
  • Assist in transitioning games to modern frameworks like Phaser for web-based game development.
  • Create reusable component libraries for consistent UI across multiple game projects.
  • Document frontend code and maintain technical documentation for UI systems.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Must-Haves
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Game Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in React.js and TypeScript/TSX.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or other CSS frameworks.
  • Understanding of Redux or other state management libraries.
  • Knowledge of responsive design principles and mobile-first development.
  • Experience connecting frontend applications to backend APIs.
  • Basic understanding of game development concepts and player experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Passion for gaming and interactive experiences.
Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with game development frameworks (Phaser, PixiJS, Three.js).
  • Familiarity with HTML5 Canvas and WebGL.
  • Knowledge of Firebase or other backend-as-a-service platforms.
  • Experience with animation libraries (GSAP, Framer Motion, React Spring).
  • Understanding of game UI/UX best practices.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for web games.
  • Experience with real-time multiplayer game features.
  • Portfolio showcasing frontend game projects or interactive web applications.
  • Basic understanding of game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine, Roblox Studio).
  • Experience with WebSockets or real-time communication protocols.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards for gaming interfaces.
